By Joseph Massucco

Denis Casey, professor of Applied Mathematics in Trinity Collegefs School of Physics, and Lorenzo Scalzo, professor of Mathematics at the University of Bologna, plan to attend a mathematical conference at their old Alma Matter - Stanford University.

What should be a quiet banquet and keynote address by someone Lorenzo isn't fond of, turns into the murder of the keynote speaker. Denis and Lorenzo feel compelled to aid the police in determining who at their table had the motive and opportunity to kill the man.
